Credit Control Job - Credit Controller Required in Leeds - Leeds city centre

This is a 12 month contract credit control position based in Leeds city centre. It is an outstanding career opportunity for someone who has extensive credit control experience, who is keen to work for a professional and well established business. Working as part of a friendly and stable accounts department, this is  high profile job covering all aspects of commercial debt chasing as well as liaising internally and building strong client relationships.

Job duties:

- Managing own portfolio of client accounts

- Reviewing client accounts and assessing accounts  in arrears

- Investigating overdue payments and outstanding debt

- Chasing £100,000s in debt via telephone, statement, letter and e-mail

- Liaising with clients to resolve indepth queries

- Liaising with internal contacts to discuss problematic accounts

- Producing and sending monthly customer statements and letters

- Liaising with debt collection company when accounts become badly in arrears

- Discussing litigation process and liaising with solicitors

- Monthly reporting on aged debt and monies collected for management

- Other ad-hoc credit control duties

Skills needed:



- MUST have recent credit control experience in a law firm

- Must be knowledgeable in all areas of commercial and corporate debt chasing

- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to liaising internally on a professional level

- Must have excellent IT skills

- Must be a strong and positive team player
