Description:
A talented accountant required to run the finance function of an innovative and progressive business in Huddersfield.
This is a unique opportunity where the right candidate must be able to grow with the role and the company.

- Reporting to the MD with responsibility for the entire finance department
- The candidate will be required to bring the accounts function up to date and will involve assisting choosing a system and implementing the transition.
- All postings to all ledgers will be undertaken by the candidate.
- The role will encompass the following responsibilities:-
* Control of all the accounting processes, posting all entries.
* Management accounts and management information.
* Budgeting and forecasting.
* Proactive involvement in management decisions.
* Payroll
- All dealing with HMRC, including VAT and corporate taxes.
- Company secretarial duties
- Control of the HR function. This role is a key appointment for the company and the candidate must be commercially minded and able to contribute to the growth and development of the company.
The candidate must be capable of growing with the role as the company grows

Key requirements for the role are:-
- Qualified, Part qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or Qualified by Experience 
- Excellent communicator, both orally and in writing.
- Quick witted, intelligent and capable of thinking on your feet.
- Some experience in a construction environment
- A proactive, can do attitude
- Willing and able to get involved with basic accounting issues
- Credible and professional at board level
