Diabetes UK Involvement Network

Members of the Network have worked with staff from across the organisation, including the Campaigns, Customer Services, and Healthcare & Policy Teams. They have enhanced the Charity’s work by ensuring that the voice of people living with diabetes is included in the development of the work of the organisation and informs our way forward.

For example, Involvement Network members are becoming mystery shoppers and working with the Customer Services Team to measure Diabetes UK performance against the standards set. The work is expected to be completed later this year. Network members also took part in a consultation on the charity’s European manifesto and the document that was sent to all European candidates was changed as a result of this consultation.

The Network is recruiting new members. Anyone affected by diabetes is eligible to apply and both people with diabetes and their carers are encouraged to sign up.
