Technical Support Engineer required for IT support client in Leeds. My client are looking for a field Technical support Engineer to cover the North west area.
Qualifications 􀀀 College/University or equivalent
educated. Electronics, Automation or
IT discipline
􀀀 Qualification in Electrical or
Engineering
Experience 􀀀 Experience of Electrical or
Engineering 􀀀 Experience of First line
support 􀀀 Customer Facing Support
􀀀 Working with Soldering and
technical tools 􀀀 Product testing and
fault finding
􀀀 Experience of Automation
􀀀 Experience in design and delivery of
training 􀀀 Producing documentation
for technical applications and
products 􀀀 Direct experience with
Field busses, Ethernet, Routers
Knowledge & Skills 􀀀 Excellent telephone manner
􀀀 Excellent IT skills 􀀀 Practical
engineering skills, soldering, wiring
􀀀 Knowledge of using Test equipment
i.e. oscilloscope, multimeter, protocol
analyser TDR, OTDR, Cable test,
software based Ethernet test tools.
􀀀 Knowledge of PLCs, industrial
Automation, TCP/IP, Ethernet and
Routers 􀀀 Good knowledge of MS
Office 􀀀 Knowledge of Visio
􀀀 Excellent presentation skills
􀀀 Experience of Databases and
record keeping
