Technical Support Engineer required for IT support client in Leeds. My client are looking for a field Technical support Engineer to cover the North west area.
Qualifications College/University or equivalent
educated. Electronics, Automation or
IT discipline
Qualification in Electrical or
Engineering
Experience Experience of Electrical or
Engineering Experience of First line
support Customer Facing Support
Working with Soldering and
technical tools Product testing and
fault finding
Experience of Automation
Experience in design and delivery of
training Producing documentation
for technical applications and
products Direct experience with
Field busses, Ethernet, Routers
Knowledge & Skills Excellent telephone manner
Excellent IT skills Practical
engineering skills, soldering, wiring
Knowledge of using Test equipment
i.e. oscilloscope, multimeter, protocol
analyser TDR, OTDR, Cable test,
software based Ethernet test tools.
Knowledge of PLCs, industrial
Automation, TCP/IP, Ethernet and
Routers Good knowledge of MS
Office Knowledge of Visio
Excellent presentation skills
Experience of Databases and
record keeping
