Softball

Softball is a social game that can be played by people of all ages and all abilities. More akin to baseball than rounders, softball refines baseball rules to allow the maximum amount of enjoyment for everyone regardless of ability. Teams are co-ed made up of five girls and five guys to make softball a sociable and fun sport. Contrary to popular belief softball is not played with a soft ball but instead played with soft underarm pitches to encourage more hitting and therefore more excitement. Leeds Softball association is the governing body behind the Leeds Softball League. All league teams are eligible for the knockout cup competition run by the LSA, and for those who want to play even more, the LSA also organises several teams that take part in weekend tournaments against other softball teams from all over England.
