As new Mongoose Amasa Comp '06 Hardtail Mtb £400 ono (£400)
Hi,
A recent move to London has forced me to sell my Mongoose Amasa Comp hardtail, which, unfortunately, I had only recently bought. As a result the bike is as new, with no scratches or dings anywhere. I bought the bike for £500 and based my decision on the fact that it was given 10/10 in "What MTB" magazine (see quote at the end of this listing). The bike has recently had a full set-up service so you won't have to pay for that and it shouldn't need another one for a while. I'm 6'2 and it's a good size for me but I think it would probably suit anyone from about 5'10 upwards. Oh yeah, I'll also through in a helmet.

"We rode the Mongoose after spending a few days on a more expensive bike and, despite being £200 cheaper and 2lb heavier, we felt that the mongoose performed just as well, and at times better...it handles singletrack better than any bike at this price, it's also very forgiving on the bumps too. We often praise a bike because it's well spec'd for the price or because it rides really well, but we rarely find a £500 bike that pleases us in every area. We're pleased to say that the Amasa does. "
Conclusion: This is one of the best bikes that £500 can buy.
Rating: Performance 9/10 | Value 10/10
Please note, I'm going to have to travel up from London to hand the bike over, so no time wasters please.
Cheers
Nick
