Java Developer required for a leading Scientific Software organisation based in Central Leeds who are experiencing an exciting time in their growth and development. Developing in Java you will be part of a small focused team responsible for the ongoing development of the companies key applications.

The company employees strong academic candidates so a degree with either Computer Science or Chemistry is essential as is solid experience in Client Server Java Development with the JDK 1.6. Any skills with Eclipse IDE, JUnit, Hibernate, HP Quick Test Professional [QTP], Cruise Control, Hudson, Ant Scripts, Subversion or MVC is preferable but is not essential.

My client is looking for serious Java Developers, people who have worked on working on industrial-strength commercial stand alone applications who are used to writing sophisticated, performance efficient and usable user interfaces for applications.

This is not a position suited to people who have worked on small parts of large applications or who are from a body-shop background.
