£16,140 rising to £24,500 + bonus + benefits

If you’re looking for a more rewarding – and secure – home for your customer service talents, look no further than British Gas. We need experienced, motivated people to join us to deal with inbound customer enquiries and uphold our high standards of customer service. In short, we need people to be there for our customers when they’re needed most. And, in return, we’ll invest in your training and development to make you an energy expert.
Queries can range from questions on billing and payment to more complex issues, so you can be sure of a varied and stimulating environment. We’ll also ask you to promote new products and services to our customers, so listening carefully to what they have to say will be crucial.
As well as strong keyboard, communication and organisational skills, you’ll also need to apply sound judgement and take responsibility for resolving each call as efficiently and effectively as possible. If you have a call centre and/or sales background too, so much the better.
In return, you can look forward to a great range of benefits including a quarterly performance related bonus of up to 12% of salary, an additional flexible allowance of 3% of salary for buying things like additional holiday, commission and 23 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.
