This is an Ovation deep bowl electro-acoustic guitar made in America in the late seventies, it is the up-market 1617 model s/n 210623 with ebony fingerboard, gold plated machineheads etc. Unfortunately it has a crack to the solid spruce top which, although it doesn't seem to affect the playability, will need attention so the guitar is being sold as a repair project.

The bound neck is straight with light wear to the first few frets and virtually none to the fingerboard, 43mm at the nut. The machineheads are in good condition and work smoothly. The guitar has a walnut bridge and the sound hole inlays are mother of pearl. The bowl is in good condition and the piezo pickup works properly as do the concentric controls. As you would expect the guitar is superb to play and has a great sound. There is no case for this guitar. Please contact me with any questions
