The University of Leeds School of Law Legal Advice Clinic provides free legal advice to members of the public in the following fields.

- Housing
- Debt
- Employment
- Contractual disputes
- Consumer disputes
- Human Rights: breach of privacy; a violation of fair trial rights; discrimination or inhuman and degrading treatment

If you have a legal problem that you think falls within one of the areas listed above, contact us at the School of Law Legal Advice Clinic on 0113 343 8013 and leave your name and phone number on our answer machine.

A clinic manager will return your call, and will ask you some questions about your problem. If we are able to help, an appointment will be made for you to come to the Clinic.

Law students will interview you about your problem under the supervision of a solicitor from one of our supervising firms and will provide you with free written legal advice within 14 days. The advice will inform you of your legal position, and what steps you could take next.

No charge is made for the service.

We regret that the Clinic cannot provide any legal representation; it can only provide written legal advice. The Clinic reserves the right not to give legal advice in any area. If we cannot help you, we will try to refer you onto another service that may be able to provide more assistance.

Please note the Clinic is unable to advise anyone taking against the University of Leeds, its Governors, employees or current students.
