Family Support Worker jobs working in between Young Families and the Children's Centre Area Team to provide support services to pregnant teenagers, their partners and young parents. Suitable candidate should be capable to work jointly with all partner agencies, to ensure that teenage parents and parents receive co-ordinated packages of support and access to appropriate services.

Typical responsibilities with this role involve undertaking individual needs and risk assessments of young parents/parents to be; develop, implement and review individual support plans and provide services to meet needs; offer personal support to young women with sensitive issues; provide support to young parents/parents to be to enable them to develop the skills necessary for running their own house.

Ideal candidates must have experience of working within a similar role. In addition to this you must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Children, have child protection training and have own transport.The role is temporary for 6 months with possibility of role being extended.
