The primary role is to provide IT systems support for the office, phone system and hosting environment of this Wakefield based software development company. This includes management of the local Linux network, Windows desktops, and associated systems, including VMWare and Linux hosts, Asterisk PBX and firewall. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Linux tech head.

Role/Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain IT services for the Wakefield office
Manage and maintain remote co-location environment
Keep IT systems patched and up-to-date
Liaise with external security vendors
Provide support in using applications to staff members and tenants
Maintain and manage local Asterisk phone system
Establish and maintain network documentation
Manage local intranet
Establish and implement a cloud-based hosting strategy

The role requires some or all of the following skills & experience, with the attitude and aptitude to learn the rest:
Experience of managing Linux networks
Email systems management
Knowledge of IP, DNS, networking
Experience of firewall/security configuration
Competent at hardware fault-finding and remediation
Experience in virtualisation
Experience of VoIP and VoIP PBX

Ability to learn new skills and adapt to new systems quickly
Patient and understanding to the requirements of colleagues
High levels of motivation and enthusiasm
Capable of managing dynamic re-prioritisation of goals
