SENIOR / PRINCIPAL PROJECT CONSULTANTS – Construction
Salary range £30,000 - £45,000
Exciting high profile roles working for a rapidly growing, award winning social enterprise and regeneration consultancy based in one of Leeds most innovative new business centres, with some travel involved to client sites.
The roles require commercially astute consultants who want to make a social impact.
We are looking for people who have most or all of the following:
• 2 years + practical commercial project management experience with a proven track record of successful delivery
• Certified project management qualification – e.g. Msc Construction Project Management, IPMA (level B), PMP
• A good working knowledge of the Construction industry and environmental issues such as carbon reduction
• Experience of raising finance and funding
• Able to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial senior people.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial senior people and engage directly with our clients to understand their requirements and manage business relationships
• Have excellent understanding of the technical side including interpreting drawings, construction technology and methodology
• The ability to write succinct and constructive reports
• Experience working with Project Management IT systems and MS office suite
The role involves pre and post -contract work, liaising with clients and sub-contractors, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and budget.
Responsibilities include -
• Managing complex projects from £.5m to £6m, involving feasibility studies, raising funds, managing design teams, procurement, build, hand-over, post-contract issues, health and safety and achieving sustainable business operations.
• Developing tendering programmes
• Monitoring and reporting on projects
• Conducting feasibility studies, particularly around construction & renovation of physical assets for 3rd sector organisations.
• Identifying new uses for properties to assist in sustaining client organisations.
• Securing private sector and 3rd sector finance and investment
• Advising on construction and property issues
• Identify future sales opportunities and work with Directors to develop those opportunities
