WEB DEVELOPER

A Leeds based creative interactive marketing agency. With an integrated marketing approach, they combine the very best of digital marketing and direct marketing to create the best return on investment for many of the UK’s top blue chip brands.

This is a multi-faceted development role – candidates will be involved at every step of the web development process, from initial technical requirements gathering for complex projects, front- and back-end development of the site, to site testing in the lead-up to site-live.

The candidate will be required to develop database-driven websites to a functional requirements specification using CSS, XHTML, ASP.NET in C# and MS SQL Server.

Essential technical skills:
• ASP.NET 2.0+
• C#
• Good knowledge of MS SQL Server 2005 (inc. views, stored procedures)
• AJAX
• JavaScript

Desired technical skills:
• ASP.NET 3.5+
• Hand-coded XHTML and CSS

Essential experience:
• Knowledge of Visual Studio 2005/2008
• Integration of websites with payment gateways


Person Specification
The candidate will have at least two years’ experience within a .NET website development environment, ideally within an agency environment although this is not essential. Using ASP.NET C#, they will have a background in web projects utilising SQL Server databases and integrating with payment gateways.

Projects may be completed individually or as a team depending on their importance/size/urgency. The ability to contribute and communicate effectively within the team is therefore of the utmost importance at all times.

They will also be confident in client-facing situations; the candidate may be required to take part in technical requirements gathering for particularly complex projects. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are therefore essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain further experience in .NET and to work on a vast range of projects in a dynamic, friendly team.
