Hays Education currently work with with a large number of secondary schools in the Leeds area, supplying specialist support staff for cover.  This year we have seen an uplift in the amount of schools that use the service and the frequency in which they use it.  As a result of this we are now looking to work with more local candidates that have the experience, ability and will to work in schools.



At present we are working with a large secondary school in Leeds who seek an experienced Lab Technician to provide cover in their busy but well run Science department.  Ideally you will have worked in a school laboratory before, or have experience of working in a laboratory.  A graduate with a Science degree may be considered.









- In this role your day to duties will include:

- Maintenance, preparation and cleaning of laboratory equipment.

- Organisation and maintenance of efficient storage systems for equipment and materials.

- Prepare and provide equipment for lessons.

- Preparation of laboratory solutions.

- Stock control including preparing lists of replacements as required.

- Assist with completing and collating statistical returns.

- Assist with maintenance of Science Department administration system.

- Reprographic work as required.
