Who are we?

The Sovereign, Nr Huddersfield
The Sovereign is a small Vintage Inn in Shepley on the edge of Huddersfield. It has 100 internal and 48 external covers. The Pub enjoys a strong regular trade nad has a good local reputation for great service and quality. The ideal applicant will be a current Assistant or a Team Leader looking for a move into their 1st Management role. They will need to demonstrate a passion for food and service and be able to lead and motivate a small, but very strong team.
Who are you?
As an Assistant Manager, you will assist the General Manager in the day to day running of the business, as well as getting involved in strategic activities such as setting targets and driving local marketing campaigns. You will enjoy the buzz of running shifts and love spending time setting and reviewing goals for your team members and supervisors.
Our Assistant Managers need to:
• Be passionate about Guest service and standards
• Have experience in management, ideally in a branded, hospitality environment
• Be enthusiastic about food and hands-on in the kitchen
• Be willing to learn our IT systems and be heavily involved in business controls
• Enjoy the buzz of running shifts
• Enjoy spending time setting and reviewing goals for your team members and supervisors
• Be ambitious, wanting to further your career in management in the future
