Team Leader
We are recruiting for a team leader for a supported living service where adults with learning disabilities enjoy an independent life.
You will work 37 hours per week which will be split into support and management hours. You will also cover sleep-ins and run an out of hours on-call service on a rota basis.
Your main duties will include:
Providing co-ordination and day to day management support to a staff team to provide quality support to individuals with learning disabilities
Enabling the accurate, objective and continuous identification of householders needs for support and care
Effective key working for householders
Effective and sensitive communication with householders, staff team and managers
Support planning, risk assessments, implementation of company policies and procedures
Providing induction and identify training and development for all staff
Supervision of staff team and holding regular team meetings
Managing finances relating to householders, petty cash and payment of bills
For this role you will need:
Minimum 3 years experience of working with adults with learning disabilities in supported living, care or community work
Knowledge of the aims and objectives of supported living and the rights and needs of adults with learning disabilities
Knowledge of person centred planning
NVQ 3 or equivalent
Willing to undertake management training (NVQ 4 or equivalent)
Flexible to work various hours
