Stunning Ibanez Btb 6-String Bass Guitar

Up for grabs here is my beautiful and beloved Ibanez BTB (506 I think) 6-string bass guitar. Made in 2007, so this bass is in immaculate condition with only a few minor marks on it and no buckle rash or other wear; the frets are in excellent condition with virtually no wear.

The bass has Bartolini MK1 soapbar pickups and pre-amp which alone would retail at around £200 and provide an amazing versatility to the sound. The bass has treble, middle and bass cut/boost controls as well as a variable mid control which changes the mid band really adding a phenomenal variety of sounds you can achieve out of this instrument. Additionally, there is a pick-up pan control. This is powered by 18-volts of battery power (2 x 9v batteries) accessed through a panel at the back.

The neck is a 5-piece laminate (mahogany and maple I believe) and is very thin and fast (very typical of Ibanez) meaning that this 6-string is accessible to even the smaller of handed players (like me). The action on the neck is amazing low and has zero fret-buzz so is wonderfully set up. The neck is bolted with 5 bolts and seated in a decent sized pocket on the body making this very stable. The body itself is a lovely mahogany with what looks like a deep grained wood on the front and back, maybe maple. The string spacing means that this beast is slap-able (even for a novice with bad technique like me). The tuners are excellent and stay in tune perfectly, even when being carted around in a gig bag. When played unplugged, this bass has a lovely bright tone and this carries through when it's amplified.

The jack is a Neutrik locking jack socket, meaning that however much you move around on stage, there is no chance of your lead accidentally coming out in the middle of your set.

All in all a wonderful bass and I'm reluctant to be letting it go, but I'm saving for an Ernie Ball Music Man and anyone who know's Music Man's knows that I have a long way to go.
