Main Tasks of Job : External (Client and industry responsibilities)
New Business:
Investigate business opportunities fully, both with existing clients and for potential new customers with a view to highlighting any opportunities outside your account to the Sales Team to investigate and help pursue.
Ensure that the ongoing relationship with each client in the TP portfolio generates maximum growth and maximizes potential for revenue and that this is forecasted, monitored and revised accordingly in forecasts on a monthly and more general quarterly basis with client banding.
Work with NBS to incept new clients to the portfolio team successfully and profitably to an appropriate assigned client pod. Help prepare new business proposals for both the client base and NBS. Work with NBS to pitch and secure new business.
Client relationship management;
Represent the client within the business but without undue bias; ensure that each is represented in a way that takes into account our own business circumstance as well as the client needs and ensure that an objective balanced view is presented.
See to it that that all communication with clients is professional, clear and courteous.
Ensure that clients are satisfied; measure and improve the levels of client contentment using the Customer Satisfaction Survey and post project reviews/brief questionnaires.
Make sure that all clients perspective of the company is as a positive, proactive and integral partner. Manage, identify and resolve client problems quickly and effectively. Maintain regular contact with relevant senior contacts within client organizations to ensure that they are happy with our services and that all opportunities are recognized early.
Create the understanding in our clients that process is an important and integral part of their project. Clearly establish governance within each client and where responsibility lies between Account and Project Management teams and ensure that nothing is neglected in doing so; ensure regular consultation between these teams.
Be proactive; monitor and report progress, prioritize resource from within your team and trouble shoot where necessary.
Internal
Revenue;
Maximize business interests for my client using forecasts, billing and collections. Achieve targets as set by the Board of Directors.
Work In Progress; accurately record our understanding of forecasted work to allow the business to resource and allocated resources effectively.
Meet or exceed assigned company revenue targets.
Get deeply involved in the strategic thinking of the business and contribute ideas to help it evolve.
Legal/ Financial;
Take responsibility for all contracts. Ensure appropriate contracts and service level agreements are in place between the client and the company and that we work closely to our contractual arrangements and are not swayed to move away from them by pressures. Ensure all service levels are maintained.
Work with internal finance team (Operations) to ensure a fluid and effective billing and payment arrangement is in place with all clients, from the point of commission and inception to payment. Keep Work In Progress figures within agreed targets with prompt invoicing.
Communication:
Communicate effectively to your Account teams and also to Project Managers.
Formally record all client communications to ensure that all relevant actions and decisions are shared with the team and confirmed to the client within 24 hours.
Report accurately, regularly and effectively in writing and verbally on all client relationships to Senior Management / Directors.
Team;
Provide and manage adequate resource.
Work closely with the project team to ensure that clients understand their responsibilities within a project and all communications that occur during them; this includes ensuring that change is effectively communicated and managed.
Strategy;
Contribute towards business strategy internally.
Ensure that regular update and strategy meetings are conducted with all active clients.
Commercial knowledge :
Acquire it for our sector. Keep you, the team and clients up-to-date with relevant industry technology and all advances so that they can be used to ensure that client systems are enhanced, clients are as successful as possible and revenue is maximized.
Familiarize yourself and all Account Managers with clients businesses, strategies, their market and attitudes towards competitors in order to create the right environment for business opportunities.
Keep up-to-date with our industry press to ensure that our knowledge is good and opportunities within the changing market are rapidly identified and exploited.
Analyze our own competitors and those of our clients to ensure we have best market advantage.
The above tasks are not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.
Salary - up to £40k
