We are a Headingley based letting agency which has an opening for a new exciting position within the business. This is a wonderful opportunity to build a career in the property industry and to get on the property ladder, with unlimited room for promotion and increased responsibilities for the right person.
We urgently require an experienced (preferably) Property Manager or assistant wishing to progress to Manager to liaise with all other departments/ contractors whilst reporting to the owner and to promote the interests of the company in general at all times.
Some of the duties & responsibilities:
To liaise with Landlords, tenants and contractors to facilitate a prompt and professional approach to repairs, maintenance, keeping all parties fully informed at all times and obtaining all necessary consents.
To schedule, monitor and analyse annual safety checks keeping certificates up to date at all times and organising any necessary remedial work promptly.
Arrange and carry out routine property inspections to ensure in prime condition and organise subsequent remedial works.
Handle insurance renewal documents for landlords, overseeing renewals and authorising of payment of premiums to ensure that cover does not lapse.
Carry out checking in and final inspections at the end of the tenancy and resolving any issues with regards to deposits.
To perform any other duties which from time to time may be required to ensure the smooth running of the business.

co-ordination & appointment of maintenance contractors for all houses
setting budgets for service charges of houses
offer administrative support to the sales & lettings department
work hours will vary including Saturday and evenings.
The ideal candidates will possess the following qualities:
Administrative experience
Excellent and structured organisation skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skill
The ability to liaise with clients, in a confident and professional manner.
Team player with a “can do” approach.
Target driven.
Basic understanding of accounts and account packages.
Good knowledge of the Leeds areas.
Full clean UK driving license
Car owner
Track record of managing properties is advantageous
Ability to use property management software
Excellent IT skills
Good tenant negotiation skills
Working knowledge on tenant eviction and debt recovery
The successful candidate will undertake various duties, including dealing with tenant and landlord enquiries, arranging viewings, conducting inspections, assisting occasionally with viewings, receiving rents, monitoring and chasing rental arrears and processing tenants’ deposits.
The job is two days per week, In return you will be offered a basic salary of £12,000 - £16,000 (pro rata , dependant on skill). as well as the chance to earn commission each month.
