Technical Administrative Assistant

Salary: £15,000 - £17,000 depending on experience
THE ROLE
Based in Leeds City Centre we are recruiting on behalf of a well established distribution company. As a Technical Administrative Assistant, you will be supported to develop your skills and will have the opportunity to progress within the role. Duties to include:-
• Receipting of all manufacturers’ health & safety data sheets and technical data sheets.
• Scanning up to date data sheets and health & safety data sheets into the Products database in Lotus Notes.
• Dealing with customers’ regulatory questionnaires - investigating which manufacturers’ products we are supplying and sending the customers forms to the manufacturer to fill in.
• Chasing customers until questionnaires are returned
• Inputting Product Log information into the Products database
• Inputting technical data and material safety data, product grouping when a new product is being set up.
• Inputting information as above when an existing product is being updated in the Products database.
• Liaising with relevant departments/personnel when new regulatory projects come on line.
• Obtaining information/letters from manufacturers and passing on details to customers as required.
• Chasing sample requests from the technical department if time permits, determine if the sample was successful
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Previous experience within an Administrative role is essential
• Experience from a technical / chemical / pharmaceutical background would be highly advantageous
• A Level / Degree in Chemistry would be desirable
• Attention to detail and accuracy is highly important
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is needed; experience of mail merge would be desirable
• Customer focused with a good telephone manner is a necessity
SALARY
• £15,000 - £17,000 depending on experience (part-time hours considered)
