Financial Controller, LEEDS - £30,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience)

Switch Gas & Electric is recruiting for the position of a Finance Controller for their Leeds-based business that operates a business-to-consumer model in sales of gas and electric switching. We are a 1 year old business that has achieved strong growth in the first year’s trading. The role will suit a driven, focused and successful Finance Controller with the exciting opportunity of a brand new role.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Finance Controller will be responsible for:

• Production of the monthly management accounts
• Management Information
• Control of the general ledger
• Production/control of budgeting, forecasting and costings
• Assist in completion of statutory accounts and liaising with the auditors
• Assist in production of annual budget with the Managing Director
• Cash flow management; payments and purchases


This is an exciting opportunity that will offer the successful candidate the chance to take up a brand new role and assist in the leading of the finance function and to work with the board & senior management and auditors.

The successful candidate must be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) ideally with some post-qualified experience and will ideally have experience of SAGE and is able to apply a commonsense approach to problem solving and systems development.
