There are many courses out on the market these days. Our qualified instructor has attended some of these courses and we have put together a real package to offer potential students. We believe we have come up with the BEST value course in the UK, and as a trial we are holding three courses this year.

The information presented in the course would enable you to be able to survive with just a knife. With this one tool you should be able to obtain or fashion everything you would need to survive. However, we ask that you bring further equipment so it is a pleasant experience.

Survival is usually just the basics in order to keep you alive. We go further than this by teaching you things that will also make your 'stay' in the wilderness comfortable. In addition you will have the chance to learn how to trap and skin an animal, although you may opt-out of this if you wish.

The remaining dates for the courses are:-

19 July 2008 - Summer / rasberries / billberries / wild strawberries
20 September 2008 - Autumn / Apples / Beech nuts / Funghi

We have included some of the things you will experience that are specific to that time of year, although in every course we will point these out and show you identifying features. However, they only fruit at certain times of year so you could only experience these on that particular course.

Lastly, we will be honest and advise that the basic equipment you will need for this course is as follows:

Sharp Knife
Tarpaulin / 'Basha'
Sleeping bag or bivi-bag or both
Ground mat
Good quality string

You can purchase these for your own future use or can hire them from us for the duration of the course. Attendees to the course will receive a free ration pack and a free survival box - to the value of £25. This means you will not have to eat off the land if you do not want to.
